Model: Kalia, Photographer: Barrie Blau | Lana Guerra, Hairstylist who turned in her clients after 16 years for fabric and foam heads.
She makes any kind of wig, many custom wigs, but when making her own they all tend to be over the top with bright colors...and at times her wigs turn into head pieces that are giant bunny rabbits, birds, octopus... As for her clothing, she adores color and prints. Things tend to look very circus like, maybe because she loves a good circus...or she just wants people to be able to have fun, very unique, one of a kind garments. |

Endi Clark - I don't garden, but after beginning to bellydance I acquired a sincere appreciation for flowers, feathers, glitter, make-up, and all things costuming - It only took a few months of lusting after how amazing my dancer friends looked that I decided to put my nose to the grind-stone and started producing all those fun things I wanted for myself. Little did I know they'd soon become not only an occassional ornament for my costumes, but they'd be a creative outlet, a passion, a continuous work of art to be appreciated by myself, all who wear them, and those lucky enough to see these feather/flower hair and hat accessories in action!

Vauntville creates costume pieces for performance or special occasions made from forgotten baubles, reclaimed trinkets, scraps and remnants. Each piece can make their own statement, provide the finishing touch to the flowers and feathers of your hair garden, or be fashionably fastened onto a hat or hairband.

Boogabazati Wear produces fine handmade knitted and crocheted clothing. A majority of its items are made from upcycled sweaters, which makes for unique and quality materials. Boogabazati is known for it's original hats and cute pocket belts, but constantly has new creations manifesting after each trip to the second hand store.
Rachel Shelton, owner and designer of Boogabazati, has always been known for her vast hat collection, and also as a belly dancer in the Portland area. She is an instructor of SEEDs (Self-esteem, Empowerment and Education through Dance), another member of the Bridgetown community. Her latest designs are inspired by her fellow dancers, and she is very excited to unleash them to the public! |
